The back room
Salon laundry is not ordinary laundry
A busy Saturday leaves you with colour-stained towels, capes covered in clippings and gowns that need to be client-ready by Tuesday. Most salons handle it in the back room on a domestic machine. It works, right up until it doesn’t.
01 · Hair
It kills the machine quietly
Clippings wrap the drum and collect in the drain pump filter. First the machine drains slowly and towels come out soaking. Then the musty smell. Then the pump goes. Towels are already high-shedding, so a filter that normally needs clearing every three months needs it every two; and a salon machine needs it far more often than that.
02 · Colour
Heat makes the stain permanent
Tint has to be treated before the towel goes anywhere near a dryer, because heat sets the colour into the fibres for good. One rushed load at the end of a long day and a batch of good towels is written off. We treat stained items separately and we know which towels are bleach-safe and which will lose their own dye if you try.
03 · Volume
Saturday doesn’t fit in a domestic drum
Your trading peaks are exactly when you have the least time and the most linen. A machine built for a family’s weekly wash is not built for a full salon floor, and the backlog always lands on the person you can least afford to have in the back room.

Salon laundry FAQs
Can you get hair dye out of salon towels?
We treat colour-stained towels before they go anywhere near a dryer, because heat sets dye into the fibres permanently. Fresh stains come out far more reliably than old ones that have already been through a hot cycle. We can’t promise every set-in stain will lift, but we’ll tell you honestly which ones won’t rather than quietly returning them.
Do we need to shake the hair out first?
No. Hair-heavy laundry is exactly what this service is for. Bag it as it comes off the floor and we’ll handle the clippings on our side.
Is our salon’s laundry washed with anyone else’s?
Never. Your salon’s collection is tagged and processed on its own, separate from other businesses and from household orders. Whites, colours and darks are sorted within your load.
How quickly do we get the towels back?
Standard turnaround is 24–48 hours with free collection and delivery. If you need them back the same day, book a pickup before 10:00 and a surcharge applies. Most salons run a standing collection so there’s always a batch in rotation and they never run short.
How much does salon laundry cost?
Salon laundry is priced per kilogram, and weight is confirmed at collection so there are no surprises on the invoice. Current rates are listed on our business laundry page. If you’re running volume every week, send us your numbers and we’ll quote a standing-collection rate.
Is there a contract or a minimum term?
No contract and no minimum term. Set a standing collection, change the days as your trading changes, or book us as and when you need. You’re not locked in.
Do you collect from barbershops, nail bars and spas too?
Yes. Barbershops, nail bars, day spas, beauty rooms and wellness studios all run on the same service. If it’s towels, capes, gowns, aprons or robes, we’ll collect it.
